An important message from Cawthron Institute regarding our COVID-19 vaccination requirements

1 December 2021

Cawthron Institute delivers world-class science for a better future. Our laboratories perform important water and food safety testing for clients across Aotearoa New Zealand and are deemed an essential service. As such, Cawthron has a number of strict safety measures in place to keep our people, partners and suppliers safe and to ensure we can continue to deliver our essential services to the country.

These measures include the requirement that any staff member, visitor, contractor or supplier over the age of 12 coming onsite to Cawthron must be fully vaccinated. If you are interacting with people onsite, you will be required to show proof of your vaccination status on arrival. We take your privacy very seriously, and your vaccination status will not be stored or used for any other purpose. Sample and freight drop-off and pick-up will continue to be contactless.

In addition, we ask that all visitors to our sites follow Covid-19 safety protocols, including wearing a mask at all times, maintaining social distancing and scanning in using the contact tracing app. Please do not come onsite if you are feeling unwell, and if possible let us know in advance if you have a mask exemption.

We will also ensure our people provide proof of their vaccination status when visiting your sites as well.

If Cawthron’s Covid-19 requirements create any issues for your company to continue to work with or deliver services to Cawthron, please advise your key contact at Cawthron as soon as possible. We will continue to review Cawthron’s Covid-19 response and keep you informed of any changes.
