In recent years Cawthron has specialised in protecting and enhancing freshwater and marine environments and finding solutions for the sustainable development of our primary industries.

How You Can Support Cawthron Research
Cawthron accepts bequests and donations for general research purposes or designated gifts supporting an area of interest to you, or your organisation.
Donations and gifts to Cawthron help us to deliver research into areas important to New Zealanders, and to support talented scientists. Your support helps us to provide a better world for you, your future and future generations. Some of the ways you can do this include:
- supporting a scholarship
- supporting a research programme
- leaving a gift in your will
- creating an endowment fund
You can give directly through our website or you may wish to support one of our endowment funds. If you have a special area of interest, you may wish to initiate a new project or a new endowment fund. There are many ways to support our philanthropic activities.
