Working on the algal component of the Algae and Bioactives group, Joel is focused on implementing solutions for large scale culture of a wide variety of algae in order to produce high value, novel bioactive compounds for commercial and scientific applications. Joel is experienced in commissioning, validation and optimization of sophisticated equipment to support the ongoing research of the group. Joel leverages his project management skills alongside his extensive scientific experience to strengthen the bioactive value chain from conception to pilot scale production.
